Fun Digital Storyteller Kit from Ali Edwards

Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher
Epson XP 15000 Wide Format printer
Tidbits + Takeaways
I don’t worry about making tuck-spots like the ones I created for this layout accessible from outside the page protector in spreads like this. Instead, I add a tab to my journaling insert and tuck the whole card into the pockets. Simple, easy, and no-fuss.
Adhering the pocket piece flush against the base can make the pocket a bit too tight. So I adhere the front part of the pocket to the base on top of whatever will ‘live’ in the pocket just to give a bit of extra wiggle room.
If you’re unconcerned about bulk or adding a thicker insert into your tuck-in spot, you can also pop up your pocket with foam dots.
Something to Think About
It’s easy to feel like a kit with a topic like FUN requires documenting a week that is equally fun. Week 11 of 2023 was not one of those FUN weeks—stuffy noses, fevers, and naps dominated.
And that's ok.
I used the FUN Storyteller kit to document the little spots of joy within the week that I might not have written about otherwise.
This layout is an ode to the fun moments we experienced this week alongside the not-so-great ones.
However if that approach doesn’t work for you, feel free to cover up/add embellishments from your stash to the patterns and journal cards included in the kit.
In case you’re in need of this reminder like I was this week, make the kit work for your memories not the other way around!
